Trends in reduced chip protection and harsher end-user environments are requiring the need for enhanced protection solutions. Littelfuse produces varistors, suppressors, indicators, and more so users can find the right protection to ensure the long-term reliable operation of applications.

Transient Voltage Suppressor (TVS) Diodes

Littelfuse TVS (Transient Voltage Suppression) Diodes are a broad range of circuit protection products designed to protect electronic circuits against transients and overvoltage threats such as EFT (electrically fast transients) and ESD (electro-static discharge). Lightning strikes, inductive load switching, and ESD cause electrical over-stresses associated with the transmission on data lines and electronic circuits. Offered in a variety of surface mount and through-hole circuit board mounting formats, the TVS Diode portfolio includes high peak pulse current and peak pulse power options up to 20kA and 30kW, respectively. Littelfuse TVS Diodes are chosen for the fast response time (low clamping voltage), lower capacitance, and low leakage current. TVS Diodes are available in both unidirectional (unipolar) or bidirectional (bipolar) diodes circuit configurations.

Ethernet ESD, Lightning, & Power Fault Protection

Littelfuse Ethernet/PoE ESD, EFT, Lightning, and Power Fault Protection ensures that the power fault overcurrent can be protected with Telelink fuses. The Ethernet Power Fault Protection includes the SMCJ and SP40 TVS Diode, SP3, SRV05xx, LC03xx, and SP40xx Diode Array, and the 0461xxx Fuse series. Littelfuse Ethernet/PoE ESD, EFT, Lightning, and Power Fault Protection products meet various applicable standards.

Lightning Surge TVS SPA Diodes

Littelfuse Lightning Surge TVS SPA Diodes are designed to limit the amount of unwanted voltages to prevent damage by blocking the surges. Applications for Littelfuse Lightning Surge TVS SPA Diodes include lightning I/O, 10/100/1000 Ethernet, and 2500/5000/10000 Ethernet.

TVS Silicon Protection Arrays (SPA)

Littelfuse Silicon Protection Array (SPA®) TVS Diodes are designed to protect electronics from very fast and damaging voltage transients, such as lightning and electrostatic discharge (ESD). These diodes offer an ideal protection solution for I/O interfaces and digital and analog signal lines in computer and consumer portable electronics. Littelfuse TVS diodes offer a broader application use and improved impulse protection performance over conventional diodes.

SP4031 Hybrid Protection Module

Littelfuse SP4031 Hybrid Protection Module offers both overcurrent and differential only overvoltage protection for high-speed interfaces like 10/100/1000BaseT ports. During a prolonged overvoltage situation like power fault, this device will present a high-impedance. This high-impedance state will reset once the power fault event ends. The Littelfuse SP4031 hybrid protection module will clamp and protects any downstream chipsets during a fast transient process. The low loading capacitance and high-sure capability make the SP4031 TVS diode array ideal for protecting telecommunication ports like Ethernet and other high-speed data interfaces.
