The EV-B relays are powerful yet versatile, combining flexible mounting options with high-load reliability. The EV-B relays are a durable and efficient choice for applications including electric vehicles (EVs), fast-charging and charging stations, and DC high-voltage circuits in autonomous guided vehicles (AGVs) and construction and agricultural machinery.
The Panasonic Industrial Devices EV-B relays, now at Mouser, feature a high cut-off capacity of 2000 A at 500 VDC without contact polarity. The EV-B relays offer both vertical and horizontal mounting to overcome PCB height restrictions and enable flexible designs. Weighing just 360 grams, the EV-B Relays reduce overall system weight and improve efficiency.
The EV-B relays are the same shape and size as the previous-generation EV-A relays (250 A contact rating), allowing for easy drop-in replacement without design changes. With a switching life of 900 A for 20 seconds at 85ºC, the EV-B Relays are durable even in high-heat conditions. The EV-B relays also feature an ambient temperature rating of 60°C at 15% duty, ensuring reliable operation in harsh environments.
