New at Mouser: Knowles V2S200D Digital Voice Vibration Sensor for Speech Detection Applications

The V2S200D is a specialized, low-power, high-performance, high-bandwidth vibration sensor that improves voice call quality in noisy environments for earbuds, wearables, and self-speech detection applications.
Knowles V2S200D digital voice vibration sensor, available from Mouser, features voice activity detection with 50-dB acoustic isolation, designed to selectively pick up the speaker’s voice while suppressing wind and background noise for an improved voice call experience. In addition to enhancing voice call quality, voice activity detection, imposter rejection, and personalization are some of the other use cases made possible by this sensor.
The V2S200D, with its small 3.30 mm x 2.30 mm size, high 64.5-dBA signal-to-noise ratio (SNR), and low power, offers an ideal solution to OEMs/ODMs looking to enhance the user experience of their products while working with significant industrial design (ID) and battery life constraints. In addition, upon integration into the system, it emulates a digital mic with a pulse density modulation (PDM) interface, which makes hardware and software development hassle-free.
The V2S200D is supported by the V2S200D evaluation kit (KAS-33100-0006), which features a V2S200D sensor along with a SiSonic™ digital MEMS microphone in an earbud form factor. The evaluation kit connects to a PC via the USB port and should be recognized as a USB stereo recording device. Any commercial audio software that can access stereo left and right channels independently can be used to evaluate the device. Alternatively, Knowles offers a free downloadable graphic user interface for complete evaluation.
