Würth Elektronik WE-RCDS Residual Current Detection Sensors
Würth Elektronik WE-RCDS Residual Current Detection Sensors are specifically designed for detecting residual currents within electric vehicle (EV) charging stations operating under mode 3. Their incorporation is mandated for the installation of an AC charging station or a wall box, adhering to IEC 6181-1 standards. These sensors seamlessly integrate a residual current switch-off mechanism in compliance with IEC 62855, and this mechanism halts the charging process when a residual current exceeding 6mA DC is detected, adhering strictly to established norms. Würth Elektronik WE-RCDS sensors are engineered employing the flux-gate principle, ensuring the prompt detection of impermissible DC residual currents within the stipulated timeframe. Such detection is essential for ensuring personal safety, especially because conventional residual current circuit breakers (RCD type A) are ineffective in responding to DC residual currents.Features
- Compact design for PCB board mounting
- 6mA DC residual direct current detecting RDC-M-Module for mode 3 EV charging
- System fault indication
- Supply voltage drop monitoring
