Texas Instruments TVS2210 Flat-Clamp Surge Protection Device

Texas Instruments TVS2210 Flat-Clamp Surge Protection Device is designed to robustly shunt up to 25A of IEC 61000-4-5 fault current to protect systems from high-power transients or lightning strikes. The TVS2210 is an ideal solution for the common industrial signal line EMC requirement to withstand up to ±1kV IEC 61000-4-5 open-circuit voltage, coupled via a 42Ω impedance.

The TI TVS2210 Surge Protection Device employs a unique feedback mechanism for precise flat clamping during a fault, enabling system exposure below 30V. The tight voltage regulation allows users to confidently determine system components with lower voltage tolerance, reducing system costs and complexity without sacrificing robustness.

The TVS2210 is available in a small, non-encapsulated 1.0mm x 0.6mm footprint, which is created for space-constrained applications. The TVS2210 has extremely low device leakage and capacitance, resulting in minimal impact on the protected line.
