TE Connectivity / Measurement Specialties DT Series Piezo Film Sensors
TE Connectivity's (TE) Measurement Specialties DT Series Piezo Film Sensors are flexible, high‑performance dynamic sensors designed to detect vibration, impact, acceleration, and strain. Built using polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) piezoelectric film, these sensors provide high sensitivity, fast response times, and excellent durability in a thin, lightweight form factor. The DT sensors are intended for dynamic measurements rather than static loads, generating an electrical signal when the sensor is bent, flexed, or subjected to vibration or shock.
A flexible construction allows these TE sensors to conform to curved or irregular surfaces, making the sensors well-suited for space‑constrained designs and demanding environments. These components are available in configurations without leads for custom terminations or with factory‑riveted leads for secure, ready‑to‑use electrical connections. The DT series also delivers consistent performance across a wide frequency range. These sensors are commonly used in applications such as vibration/condition monitoring, impact/shock detection, dynamic strain measurement, motion/acceleration sensing, and touch/tap interfaces in industrial, consumer, and medical devices.
