STMicroelectronics STDRIVE631 Triple Half-Bridge Gate Drivers
STMicroelectronics STDRIVE631 Triple Half-Bridge Gate Drivers are high-voltage devices that extend the STDRIVE product family. Each device integrates three half-bridge gate drivers for N-channel power MOSFETs and IGBTs. The device is suitable for three-phase applications. All device outputs can source 1.0A and sink 0.85A, respectively. The interlocking and deadtime functions prevent cross-conduction.
The device has dedicated input pins for each output and a shutdown pin. The logic inputs are CMOS/TTL compatible down to 3.3V for easy interfacing with control devices. Matched delays between the low-side and high-side sections guarantee no cycle distortion and enable high-frequency operation.
The STDRIVE631 embeds a comparator with an advanced SmartSD function. This feature ensures fast and effective protection against fault events such as overcurrent and overtemperature. Dedicated UVLO protection on the low-sides and each of the high-side driving sections prevents the power switches from operating in low efficiency or dangerous conditions.
The integrated bootstrap diodes, along with all the integrated features of this IC, make the application PCB design easier, more compact, and simpler, thereby reducing the overall bill of materials. The STMicroelectronics STDRIVE631 devices are available in SO-28 packages.
