Renesas Electronics RA8E1 360MHz Arm® Cortex® M85 Microcontrollers (MCUs) achieve 6.39CM/MHz (CoreMarks per MHz), enabling the most demanding and compute-intensive applications such as endpoint AI and robotics. Using the Arm CM85 MCU core with a 7-stage superscalar pipeline (vs. 6-stage on the CM7 core) brings an unprecedented 30% higher scalar performance, improving efficiency versus the predecessor. The Renesas MCUs include the Helium M-profile vector extension that delivers 4x AI/ML performance compared to the existing M7 core. This eliminates the need for low-to-mid-tier additional DSPs in user system designs. Thus, the entire system can be managed under a single toolchain and avoids the overhead of having multiple cores.Features
