Infineon Technologies TLE9018DQK Li-ion Battery Monitoring Balancing IC

Infineon TLE9018DQK Li-ion Battery Monitoring and Balancing IC monitors the temperature of a battery system and the voltage of each cell to ensure the function and safety of the vehicle occupants. The IC meets AEC-Q100, is ISO 26262 compliant up to ASIL D, and RoHS compliant. It monitors up to 18 battery cells in a connected series with a robust 120V automotive technology and features a dedicated 16-bit delta-sigma ADC for each battery cell. SoC and SoH are measured with high accuracy and include an integrated stress sensor.

Safety measures for the Infineon TLE9018DQK include automatic balancing, automatic open load detection, and automatic NTC measurement. The IC also includes end-to-end CRC-secured iso UART/UART communication, CRC-secured configuration registers, and an emergency mode for communication.
