Infineon Technologies PSOC™ Edge Machine Learning MCUs

Infineon Technologies PSOC™ Edge is the next generation of Machine Learning-enhanced high-performance edge microcontrollers designed for sensing, low power, secure, and advanced HMI applications. The PSOC MCU is designed for responsive computing and control tasks, with hardware-accelerated machine learning delivering refined end-user interaction and application awareness. Additional features include support for Helium DSP, Arm® Ethos-U55 integration, and the Cortex®-M33 paired with Infineon's NNLite accelerator, making this MCU suitable for "always-on" applications in IoT and industrial sectors. This series offers substantial internal memory, RRAM, and secure, high-speed external memory interfaces, ensuring adaptability in complex, intelligent systems. Infineon Technologies PSOC Edge MCU supports graphics, voice, audio, and vision applications, enabling easy migration and upgrades from current designs.

PSOC Edge is supported by a rich set of enablement with the industry-recognized ModusToolbox™ software, including integration with the DEEPCRAFT™ Studio AI solution and off-the-shelf DEEPCRAFT Ready Models. Infineon’s ModusToolbox software is a comprehensive collection of multi-platform tools and software libraries, including board support packages (BSPs), peripheral driver library (PDL), and middleware such as CAPSENSE™ multi-sensing technology. DEEPCRAFT Edge AI solutions offer end-to-end machine learning software solutions, enabling users to develop custom models from scratch based upon highly convenient and intuitive workflows and interfaces, or integrate off-the-shelf Ready Models and solutions.

Infineon’s PSOC Edge is offered in four variants:
           •  Edge E81 (Baseline) - High-performance / low-power fully integrated microcontrollers with ML hardware acceleration, robust security
           •  Edge E82 – Baseline with advanced graphics
           •  Edge E83 – Baseline with advanced Edge ML, Audio/Voice, Vision, Presence/Gesture/Motion
           •  Edge E84 (Superset) – Superset device with added memory
