Analog Devices Inc. MAX86916 Integrated Optical Sensor Module

Analog Devices Inc. MAX86916 Integrated Optical Sensor Module is an integrated optical sensor platform with applications in bio-sensing, proximity, and color. The MAX86916 includes internal LEDs, photodetectors, and low-noise electronics with ambient light-rejection circuitry. It helps ease the design-in effort to all mobile and wearable devices.

The MAX86916 operates on a 1.8V supply voltage, with a separate 5.5V power supply for the internal LEDs. Communication to and from the module is accomplished entirely through a standard I2C-compatible interface. The module can be shut down through software with near zero standby current, allowing the power rails to remain powered at all times.
