Amphenol Sine Systems ATD Series™ Thermoplastic Connectors
Amphenol Sine Systems ATD Series™ Thermoplastic Connectors are high-density, heavy-duty thermoplastic solutions with superior environmental seals and end caps for exceptional rear-seal retention. As a hybrid system, these Amphenol Sine connectors enable the simultaneous transmission of power and signals within a single unit. The compact design offers increased flexibility for wire harness designers, allowing for efficient use of space without compromising functionality. ATD connectors are designed to be comparable to similar existing products in the industry.
The connector design incorporates an integral latching system with an optional Connector Position Assurance (CPA) lock, ensuring a definitive electrical and mechanical connection. Both plugs and receptacles include a Terminal Position Assurance (TPA) wedgelock, which allows for correct contact installation. Connector housings are manufactured with a thermoplastic material that is not only durable but also has excellent UV resistance, dielectric/mechanical properties, and environmental RoHS compliance. The sealing system comprises an internal and rear silicone seal, providing a multi-sealing perimeter against environmental ingress. ATD Connectors utilize A Series™ Contacts made from a copper alloy to ensure an electrically reliable connection.
