ABB Pluto Safety PLCs
ABB Pluto Safety Programmable Safety Controllers (PLCs) feature a powerful, user-friendly, and cost-effective design for machine safety applications. The Pluto lineup ranges from simple models for smaller systems to controllers with bus communication for larger systems. The series also includes PLCs with analog inputs. Most safety devices on the market can be connected directly to the Pluto modules, and multiple safety sensors can be connected to a single input while still achieving high safety levels. ABB Pluto Safety PLCs are compact and offer easy programming via the accompanying software Pluto Manager, making them ideal for a variety of industrial applications.

Single-Pluto
Pluto S20 and S46 are standalone units ideal for smaller systems that do not require communication with other Pluto units or gateways.
Pluto with Bus
Pluto A20, B20, B22, and B46 offer the same features as single-Pluto with the addition of a safe Pluto-bus.
Pluto with Analog Inputs
Pluto D20 models include the same features as Pluto versions with bus, but some of the inputs can be used as ordinary safe inputs or as safe analog inputs.
Pluto with Analog Inputs and Counter Inputs for Speed Monitoring
In addition to analog inputs, the D45 PLCs have inputs that can be configured as counter inputs for incremental encoders as well as photocells, proximity switches, and more.
Pluto Output Module
The Pluto O2 safety-output module simplifies the expansion of safety systems when more safety outputs are desired. Each Pluto O2 features two independent safety outputs with three contacts each, eliminating the need for extra expansion relays.
