DS1337 Serial Real-Time Clock (RTCs)

Analog Devices DS1337 Serial Real-Time Clock (RTC) is a low-power clock/calendar with two programmable time-of-day alarms and programmable square-wave output. Address and data are transferred serially through an I²C bus. The clock/calendar provides information on seconds, minutes, hours, days, dates, months, and years. The date at the end of the month is automatically adjusted for months with fewer than 31 days, including corrections for the leap year. The clock operates in a 24-hour or 12-hour format with AM/PM indicators.

Real Time Clocks (RTC)

Analog Devices Inc. Real-time Clocks (RTCs) are offered in a wide range of low-power, highly accurate, small packages, and MEMs-based ICs. RTC ICs measure time, even when the power of the main device is off, so an auxiliary battery or supercapacitor are required. Power consumption is a key factor in most RTC designs, but accuracy and small package size are also important. The latest RTC ICs reduce package pin count by supporting a serial interface.
