e-peas EVK30940 915MHz Evaluation Board

e-peas EVK30940 Evaluation Board is a complete reference circuit based on the AEM30940 RF energy harvesting IC. The AEM30940 is an integrated Ambient Energy Manager (AEM) that can extract DC power from a piezo generator, a microturbine generator, or any other high-frequency RF input. The device simultaneously stores energy in a rechargeable element and supplies the system with two independent regulated voltages.

The e-peas EVK30940 evaluation board allows users to demonstrate the features of the AEM30940 and analyze its performance in a laboratory-like setting. This board includes two matching networks and rectifiers for a 50Ω single-ended antenna. The EVK30940 allows for easy connection to the RF energy harvester, the storage element, and the low-voltage and high-voltage loads. This evaluation board also provides configuration access to set the device in any mode described in the datasheet. The MPPT ratio is fixed at 50% to optimize the rectifier efficiency. The control and status signals are available on standard pin headers, allowing users to wire for any usage scenario and evaluate the relevant performance.
