DS18B20 Digital Temp Sensor for Arduino

DFRobot DS18B20 Waterproof Digital Temperature Sensor for Arduino is jacketed in PVC and is suggested to keep the temperature under 100°C. The cable is configured with a stainlesss steel tube that is 6mm in diameter by 35mm long. Two type of 3-wire layouts are offered, Type A layout consists of Red to VCC, Black to GND, and Yellow to Data. Type B layout provides Red to VCC, Yellow to GND, and Green to Data. Cable measurements are as follows - cable diameter 4mm by 90cm in length. The Sensor offers 9 to 12-bit (configurable) temperature readings over a 1-Wire interface allowing only one wire that needs to be connected to the central microprocessor. Usable in 3.0V to 5.0V systems, the device also contains a unique silicon serial number, incorporating multiple DS18B20 sensors to exist on the same 1-Wire bus. This promotes versatility allowing the sensors to be placed in many different places. Applications that exhibit this feature includes HVAC environmental controls, sensing temperatures inside buildings, equipment or machinery, and process monitoring and control.
