Type-C™ Cable Assemblies for USB Technology
USB Type-C™ is the latest USB-IF standard that offers one new reversible connector to fit nearly every purpose. A USB Type-C cable does not mean it will automatically support USB 3.1 speeds; USB-C is a connector standard. The USB Type-C specification mainly addresses how vendors will implement a USB cable with a connector that's the same on both ends.
