BQ27Z561EVM-011 Battery Manager Evaluation Module

Texas Instruments BQ27Z561EVM-011 Battery Manager Evaluation Module (EVM) is a complete evaluation system for the bq27z561 battery management system. The evaluation module includes bq27z561 and bq2980 circuit modules and a link to Windows® based PC software. The circuit module includes all other onboard components necessary to monitor and predict capacity and monitor critical parameters. It also protects the cells from overcharge, over-discharge, short-circuit, and over-current in 1-series cell Li-Ion or Li-Polymer battery packs. The evaluation module includes an onboard EV2400 for connection to PC, where the user can perform various functions. These functions include reading the bq27z561 data registers, programming the chipset for different pack configurations, and log cycling data for further evaluation. It can also evaluate the overall functionality of the solution under the different charge and discharge conditions using I2C communication protocol through bqStudio software GUI.
