Capacitor Duty Contactors

TDK Capacitor Duty Contactors with damping resistors make use of pre-switching auxiliary contacts. They are designed to avoid current peak values. This soft switching of the capacitor extends the life expectancy of the capacitor significantly and has a positive impact on the power quality (avoiding transients and voltage sags that otherwise may be caused by switching in capacitors).
