Gas Discharge Tube for RS-485 Ports

Bourns Gas Discharge Tube (GDT) for RS-485 Ports is designed to meet industry standards on RS-485 port interfaces and to provide circuit protection in noisy and harsh electrical environments. For exposed lines that may see large and fast surges and where failure is not acceptable, a three-stage Bourns protection system is recommended.

TVS Diodes

Bourns Surface-Mount TVS Diodes are low capacitance devices that provide ESD, EFT, and surge protection for external ports of electronic devices such as cell phones, handheld electronics, and other portable electronic devices. Bourns TVS Diodes include smaller chip diodes that have the capability to provide a silicon diode with minimal packaging overhead. The chip diodes 0603, 1005, 1408, and 2010 are leadless, allowing for maximum space on PCB layouts. All Bourns diodes are RoHS compliant and meet many worldwide industry and government regulations on lead-free components. TVS package diode design kits are also available from Bourns.

CDDFN10-2574N TVS Diode Array

Bourns CDDFN10-2574N TVS Diode Array is a surface mount diode array designed to protect high-speed data ports from electrostatic discharge (ESD) transients. This Bourns device provides ESD, electrical fast transients (EFT), lightning, and cable discharge Event (CDE) protection. The CDDFN10-2574N diode array comes in a DFN10 package which minimizes the impedance change on the high-speed data line. This diode offers a low capacitance of 1.7pF,  ±30kV contact discharge, and ±30kV air discharge ESD protection.

CDDFN10 TVS Diode Arrays

Bourns CDDFN10 TVS Diode Arrays provide ESD protection for high-speed data ports and meet IEC 61000-4-2 (Level 4) requirements. The transient voltage suppressor arrays, protecting up to six data lines, offer work peak reverse voltages of 5V (one line), 3.3V (two lines), and 2.2V (four lines) compatible with USB 3.1. These DFN10 packaged devices have an ultra-low 0.02pF typical capacitance between I/O lines. This allows the devices to be used for protecting sensitive components used on high-speed interfaces. The small footprint allows for flow-through routing on the PCB, helping to maintain matched impedances of the high-speed data lines.
