NEX8080 Multi-Mode Flyback Controllers

Nexperia NEX8080 Multi-Mode Flyback Controllers are designed to optimize efficiency across a wide range of loads. These Nexperia controllers automatically switch between Continuous Conduction Mode (CCM), Quasi-Resonant (QR) mode, Discontinuous Conduction Mode (DCM), and Pulse Frequency Modulation (PFM) mode, ensuring high efficiency under varying load conditions. Burst Mode (BM) is employed during very light or no-load conditions for ultra-low standby power. The NEX8080 controllers support a wide V_CC range from 10V to 83V, making it suitable for applications such as USB PD/PPS chargers, AC/DC adapters, and auxiliary power supplies. Additionally, these controllers offer comprehensive protection features, including output over-voltage (OV) and under-voltage (UV) protection, over-current protection (OCP), and over-temperature protection (OTP), among others. The series is available in a compact TSOT23-6FC package, enhancing versatility and ease of integration.
