SMDY1 Automotive Ceramic Disc Safety Capacitors

Vishay / BC Components SMDY1 Automotive Ceramic Disc Safety Capacitors are AEC-Q200 qualified and designed to provide EMI/RFI suppression and filtering in harsh, high-humidity environments. These Vishay surface-mount automotive-grade AC line-rated ceramic disc safety capacitors combine a Y1 rating of 500V_AC and 1500V_DC with a high capacitance of 4700pF. The SMDY1 Automotive series offers high humidity resistance with a Class IIB humidity grade (in accordance with IEC60384-14 annex I) and withstands the 85/85/1000h test. These capacitors provide EMI suppression and primary-secondary coupling on battery chargers for plug-in hybrid and electric vehicles (PHEVs/EVs). The devices are also ideal for use as filter capacitors on AC/DC converters for PHEVs/EVs and hybrid vehicles (HEVs).
