EMI/EMC Electronic Solutions

3M Electronic Specialty EMI/EMC Electronic Solutions are highly versatile and appropriate for diverse applications, including automotive and defense electronics. These electronics feature EMI shielding tapes, EMI grounding adhesives and gaskets, EMI absorbers, flux field directional materials, and NFC, wireless power, magnetic shielding materials. 

Thermally Conductive Interface Pads

3M™ Thermally Conductive Interface Pads are designed to provide a preferential heat transfer path between heat-generating components, heat sinks, and other cooling devices. The interface pads consist of a highly conformable and slightly tacky silicone elastomer with thermally conductive ceramic particles, which help in providing enhanced thermal conductivity and excellent insulation performance. The high thermal conductivity and dielectric strength pads can be die-cut to fit individual applications. Typical applications include Integrated Circuit (IC) chip packaging heat conduction, heat sink interface, LED board Thermal Interface Material (TIM), and Chip ON Film (COF) heat conduction.

EMI Absorbers & Magnetic Isolators

3M Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) Absorbers and Magnetic Isolators are flexible composite materials with specialized magnetic particles and a non-conductive PSA to absorb EMI. The high permeability and magnetic loss help reduce EMI/RFI noise and improve signal integrity that could interfere with a system's operations. For lower frequencies of <1 MHz, 3M magnetic shielding materials can interact and influence EM fields to help protect sensitive electronic components and circuitry. These absorbers help protect nearby electronic devices and components by absorbing EMI across multiple frequency bands. The 3M EMI/RFI absorbing solutions include EMI absorbers and magnetic isolators (ferrite sheets). The absorbers are cost-effective and achieve easy application with peel-and-stick solutions.

Thermal Interface Solutions

3M™ Thermal Interface Solutions includes electrically conductive transfer tapes and conductive interface pads. The electrically conductive tapes are a wide range that can be used in various thermal interface solutions. Thermally conductive silicone interface pads are designed to provide a heat transfer path between heat-generating components, heat sinks, and other cooling devices.
