MEMS Sensors

Murata Electronics MEMS Sensors are robust structures that are very sensitive to inertial forces and pressure but are insensitive to other environmental variables and causes of failure. Murata's silicon capacitive sensors are made of single-crystal silicon and glass. These materials ensure exceptional reliability, unprecedented accuracy, and excellent stability over time and temperature. MEMS are inherently hermetically sealed in a wafer-level process for reduced packaging requirements. No particles or chemicals can enter the capped sensor, ensuring reliability. Depending on the needs of the application, the accelerometer, gyroscope, and pressure sensor elements can be designed for a specific sensitivity, measuring range, and frequency response. Gyroscopes can be used for signals as small as the earth's rotation and as large as tracking the motion of a human hand.

Automotive Products for Safety

Murata Automotive Products for Safety feature sensing technology that provides precision control by electronics, essential for the safety systems of vehicles. These Safety Products offer the high reliability that is provided by ceramics, which can endure severe operating conditions. MEMS Evaluation Units

Murata Electronics MEMS Evaluation Units demonstrate the functionality and key properties of Murata MEMS sensors. These evaluation units enable performance testing of Murata MEMS accelerometers, gyroscopes, and inclinometers. The Murata digital accelerometer and gyroscope sensors are connected to the evaluation board with a chip-carrier PCB or by using an external interface board. A highly accurate A/D converter is included.

Automotive Sensors

Murata Electronics Automotive Sensors feature sensitive (low G) acceleration and inclination sensors for the global automotive industry. This automotive sensor range covers both digital and analog accelerometers, gyros, and combined sensors, including 1-axis gyros and 3-axis accelerometers.
