LM5060 High-Side Protection Controllers

Texas Instruments LM5060 High-Side Protection Controllers with Low Quiescent Current offers intelligent control of a high-side N-channel MOSFET during normal on/off transitions and fault conditions. The constant rise time of the output voltage results from the inrush current control. Both an Input UVLO (with hysteresis) and a programmable input OVP are provided, with an enable input offering a remote on or off control. The initial start-up VGS fault detection delay time, the transition VDS fault detection delay time, and the continuous over-current VDS fault detection delay time is programmed from a single capacitor. The MOSFET is latched off until either the enable input, or the UVLO input is toggled low and then high when a detected fault condition persists longer than the allowed fault delay time.

TPS2477x Hotswap-styrenheter med hög prestanda

Texas Instruments TPS2477x High Performance Hot Swap Controllers are designed for 2.5V to 18V systems. With precise and highly programmable protection settings the TPS2477x aids the design of systems where isolating faults is critical. Programmable current limit, fast shut down, and fault timer protect the load and supply during fault conditions. The fast shut-down threshold can be tuned to ensure a fast response to real faults. Programmable Safe Operating Area (SOA) protection and the inrush timer keep the MOSFET safe under all conditions. After asserting power good, TPS2477x acts as a circuit breaker and runs the fault timer during over current events, but doesn't limit current. The device shuts down after the fault timer expires. Two independent timers (inrush/fault) allow the user to customize protection based on system requirements.
