DRV8824 Stepper Motor Controller IC

Texas Instruments DRV8824 Stepper Motor Controller IC provides an integrated motor driver solution for printers, scanners, and other automated equipment applications. The TI DRV8824 stepper motor controller IC includes two H-bridge drivers and a microstepping indexer. It is intended to drive a bipolar stepper motor. The TI DRV8824 stepper motor controller IC is capable of driving up to 1.6A of output current (with proper heatsinking, at 24V and 25ºC). The Texas Instruments DRV8824 provides internal shutdown functions for overcurrent protection, short circuit protection, undervoltage lockout, and overtemperature.

DRV8x Integrated Motor Drivers

Texas Instruments DRV8x motor drivers are intended to drive an electromagnetic machine, such as a brushed or brushless motor, stepper motor, or other electromechanical actuator. The TI DRV8x family of integrated motor drivers enable designers to quickly and easily spin their motors, reducing time to market and greatly simplifying design. By integrating the gate drive circuitry, sense amps, protection, FETS, industry standard control interfaces, and drive algorithms, the design complexity, board space, and time to spin a motor have all be greatly reduced. With on-chip protection including overcurrent, thermal, shoot-through, and undervoltage, the DRV8x family is robust, reliable, and fully protected.

DRV8885 1.5A Stepper Motor Driver

Texas Instruments DRV8885 1.5A Stepper Motor Driver is a stepper motor driver for industrial equipment applications. The device has two N-channel power MOSFET H-bridge drivers, a micro-stepping indexer, and an integrated current sense. The DRV8885 is capable of driving up to 1.5A full scale or 1.0Arms output current. The Texas Instruments DRV8885 integrated current-sense functionality eliminates the need for two external sense resistors. The STEP/DIR pins provide a simple control interface. The device can be configured in full-step up to 1/16 step modes. A low-power sleep mode is provided for very low quiescent current standby using a dedicated nSLEEP pin. Internal protection functions are provided for under-voltage, charge pump faults, overcurrent, short circuits, and overtemperature. Fault conditions are indicated by an nFAULT pin.
