Silicon Labs BGM210P Blue Gecko BLUETOOTH® Module is designed to meet the performance, security, and reliability requirements of line-powered Internet of Things products for Bluetooth networks. The BGM210P is a solution that comes with upgradeable, robust software stacks, worldwide regulatory certifications, advanced development and debugging tools, and support that will optimize development and accelerate time-to-market. The module is based on the EFR32BG21 Blue Gecko SoC and enables Bluetooth Low Energy and Bluetooth Mesh connectivity. The module features a powerful and energy-efficient MCU core, 1MB of flash memory to enable future-proofing capabilities and OTA firmware updates, and a dedicated core for enhanced security features. This Silicon Labs BGM210P Gecko module provides outstanding RF performance and range, high-level security with Secure Vault, and support critical features for commercial/industrial reliability, such as a temperature rating of up to +125°C. Applications include Smart home, connected lighting, building automation and security, and factory automation.

Silicon Labs has introduced Secure Vault, a platform for securing and future-proofing loT devices. Secure Vault features Secure Key Management. Cryptography is core to security, and a foundational element to cryptography is the secrecy of its keys. Protecting those keys is the primary objective of any security system. Secure Vault takes advantage of a unique digital fingerprint generated by a physically unclonable function. This is used to create an AES symmetric key that physically disappears when the system powers down. The AES symmetric key doesn't even exist when the chip is off. This is an extremely effective solution to the key management challenge. The function can scale to support a vast number of keys as required by the developer application. Secure Vault also includes a tamper detection system so the key cannot be reconstructed once the device is shut down after a tamper event. Secure Vault is the most advanced suite of hardware and software security protection available today.
