Lightning Surge TVS SPA Diodes

Littelfuse Lightning Surge TVS SPA Diodes are designed to limit the amount of unwanted voltages to prevent damage by blocking the surges. Applications for Littelfuse Lightning Surge TVS SPA Diodes include lightning I/O, 10/100/1000 Ethernet, and 2500/5000/10000 Ethernet.

TVS Silicon Protection Arrays (SPA)

Littelfuse Silicon Protection Array (SPA®) TVS Diodes are designed to protect electronics from very fast and damaging voltage transients, such as lightning and electrostatic discharge (ESD). These diodes offer an ideal protection solution for I/O interfaces and digital and analog signal lines in computer and consumer portable electronics. Littelfuse TVS diodes offer a broader application use and improved impulse protection performance over conventional diodes.

SP1255 & SP1555 TVS Diode Arrays for VBUS

Littelfuse SP1255 and SP1555 TVS Diode Arrays for V_BUS integrate a 13.5V or 15V TVS diode to provide lightning surge protection for the USB V_BUS pin. Littelfuse SP1255 provides up to 160A (t_p=8/20µs) and the SP1555 provides up to 120A (t_p=8/20µs) lighting surge protection per the IEC 61000-4-5 standard. These TVS diode arrays provide superior protection for current-intensive applications, such as fast-charging peripherals, and are ideal for smartphones, tablets, and other portable electronics.

USB 3.1 Type C Circuit Protection

Littelfuse USB 3.1 Type C Circuit Protection delivers overcurrent and electrostatic discharge (ESD) protection while maintaining USB 3.1 Type C data integrity. The host and all self-powered hubs must implement overcurrent protection for safety purposes and the hub must have a way to detect the overcurrent condition and report it to the USB software. Polymeric PTCs from Littelfuse provide an ideal solution for overcurrent protection. Promoting high signal integrity on the data lines of USB 3.1 Type C interfaces offers benchmark-settling, silicon-based, low-capacitance ESD protection while providing effective ESD protection on the VBUS, USB 2.0, and control lines of the interface.
