P295 Film Capacitors

KEMET P295 Film Capacitors offer a capacitance range of 470pF to 4700pF and a rated voltage of 500VAC or 440VAC/480VAC at 50Hz/60Hz. These devices are constructed of multilayer metallized paper encapsulated and impregnated in self-extinguishing UL94V-0 material. The series features excellent self-healing properties that provide a long life even when subjected to frequent overvoltages. The impregnated paper ensures excellent stability and reliability properties, particularly in applications with continuous operation. Typical applications for KEMET P295 Film Capacitors include safety capacitors for bridging of double or reinforced insulation applications requiring a voltage test up to 4000VAC at 60 seconds. P295 capacitors can be left in place during this test.
